4WD-TAKE A DEEP BREATH season-1

Among Andrew St.Pierre White’s most highly-acclaimed work, this is his third, 13-part TV series and is pure 4×4 adventure travel. It includes a trip to Mozambique, and along the South African West coast into the UNESCO World Heritage site, Richtersveld, two lone journeys across the remote Kalahari and a voyage of discovery through the Southern portion of the Namib including soaring in a hot air balloon. Then he goes capturing endangered leopards in the Waterberg biosphere and ends in the Kruger National Park and . This series was completed and broadcast in 2009/10.

TV Series FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE season-1

Andrew St.Pierre White’s first 13-part TV series. Completed in 2006, it has been broadcast in South Africa, UK and New Zealand. The series is mostly in a how-to style and includes many of the ‘skills’ videos also available on 4xforum.com, but with quite a bit more to keep any 4×4 enthusiast entertained.

Mostly a travelogue type programs, it includes an expedition into the remote Kalahari, extracted from the videos, ‘Exploring the Kalahari – An Adventure in Time travel’. This series also includes a lot of 4×4 driving including brake testing, skid control, deep water wading… video not found anywhere else. This series was completed and broadcast in 2008.

Historical

My first 4×4 was a 1971 Range Rover and I collected memorabilia… and these videos are part of my collection.

When we shoot, our aim is to capture six minutes worth of completed screen time per day. Because we shoot at a ratio of about 10:1, this means we need a minumum of 60 minutes of footage in the can every day. On a whole, this happens only rarely, especially on the travel shows. But occasionally it does. When on a shoot, we always have a camera ready to capture whatever happens. And when it happens, expected or unexpected, it normally appears in the TV shows. But occasionally it doesn’t.
So the footage here, in general, represent those wonderful occassions where we have too much footage for the episode planned. It does not appear on any of the DVDs we have published, and what you download from here is the first and only time it has left my cutting room.
I strongly recommend that you watch the episodes first, then the deleted scenes.
